Getting to Kenya Simplified!
Posted on: April 8, 2020
People from all corners of the world love to visit Kenya to rejuvenate their mind, body, and soul with safaris, Kenya island resorts, and beach holidays. If you are having a hard time planning your trip, we have made it a bit simpler for you.
Flights from the United States and North America:
Currently, there are no direct flights from the United States to Kenya. Flights from the US to Kenya connect through London, Amsterdam, Zürich or Dubai depending on the airline.
Flights from Europe to Kenya:
Most of the flights from Europe to Kenya are direct and non-stop, arriving at either the Nairobi or Mombasa International Airport.
Flights from Asia, the Far East, and Australia:
Kenya Airways, Air India, Emirates Airlines, and Qatar Airways are popular airlines that fly to Kenya. Some of these airlines also offer direct flights from the Middle East to Kenya.
Flights to other African countries:
Nairobi (JKIA) airport is a major African air hub regularly serving West, Central, and Southern Africa destinations. Although there are other African airlines that serve Kenya, the national carrier – Kenya Airways – is the pride of Africa.
For travelers who wish to visit the all-inclusive beach resorts in Kenya and more specifically Lamu, they can reach the Manda airstrip also known as Lamu airport by air from Kenya’s airports in Nairobi, Mombasa, and Malindi. Lamu airport is a small regional airport that handles domestic flights and private travel.
The Majlis is a privately owned resort set on Manda Island in the Lamu archipelago off Kenya’s north coast. Offering world-class understated luxury, this Indian Ocean resort in Kenya is elegantly designed and boasts the best views of the breathtaking RasKitau bay. Only a 10 minutes boat ride to Lamu town, the hotel reflects Lamu’s traditional heritage with its subtle fusion of Swahili, Arabic, and Indian architectural influences.
