Lamu was a dream! Majlis! What an absolute dream it was. I got the opportunity to visit Lamu for the first time on my 30th birthday and it was all I could dream of and more. Majlis offers luxury and comfort wrapped in one. The sunsets at Majlis are something straight out of a Novel; Almost other worldly in the best possible way. The staff were great. Special shout-out to Ben, the waiter at the poolside bar who was extremely hospitable. I am already planning my trip back. It was the perfect way to usher in a new decade.

Best Resort Ever I had the best experience all round! From the airport pick up till I left. The room was clean & perfectly made everyday, the service at the restaurant and bar was top notch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you Bonny , Joseph, Ben , George & a gentleman at the pool for your amazing service. I cannot wait to come back!

Really Great Luxury Resort with A One Service We had great food, great atmosphere, lovely spaces within the resort. Great experience – NOT to be missed !!Brilliant Staff and all was AMAZING !! Food was Yummy and we had a wide variety everyday. Best bar right near the beach front to enjoy Sunset and Sundowner.

Lunch by the sea! I visited Majlis for lunch with a friend. The pool attendant called Mr. Mwaruwa was the first to welcome us. He is friendly and gave us proper directions to where we needed to be. Mr. Benjamin was our assigned waiter for the afternoon. He served us so well. The meals were delicious and the drinks fantastic. I did not get a chance to sample the rooms but the ambience of the hotel by the beach is breathtaking. I would recommend lunch for anyone at the Majlis.Reservations in the structures housing beach beds should be done away with. Staying guests to be given priority but thereafter if it is available other guests popping in for meals should be able to enjoy them too.

Paradise in Kenya I have visited the Majlis in August and despite the fact that it was the rainy season I would say that the weather was perfect…I was staying in room number 25 and i really liked the spacious bathroom and the terrace facing the garden.My favourite dish was the tuna tartare and the red snapper grilled with vegetables and I loved the dessert done by their

Simplemente, Hotelazo Hotel totalmente recomendable si vas a visitar la costa de Kenia en la zona de Lamu y Manda. Estupendas y amplias habitaciones con bonitas vistas desde cualquiera de ellas. Al ser un hotel tan grande y espacioso, la sensación de silencio y tranquilidad es absoluta, parece que estás solo.El desayuno-bufet muy rico y la comida o cena a la carta muy buenos también (si vas con pensión completa, comes lo que quieras de la carta). Especial mención a Jackson, que nos atendió y aconsejo estupendamente a pesar de ser 10 personas y la mitad niños😅Imprescindible tomarse algo en el Sunset Bar viendo la puesta de sol, una pasada. Gracias Roberta por todas las recomendaciones y explicaciones que nos diste cada vez que te asaltábamos, muy buena anfitriona.A 3 minutos en bote de Shela y 7 de Lamu, ubicación excelente.En resumen, 100% recomendable, una experiencia inolvidable.

Great family friendly resort that has stood the test of time . Fabulous family friendly property. Stayed here for 3 nights. Right from the meeting at the airstrip to check in and wait staff. All excellent and attentive. The hotel wasn’t full so that was an advantage. Food is world class and whilst they have a limited vegetarian menu, they tried to make whatever we asked for. Remember this is an island and not all foodstuff requests d will be readily available so you have to be accommodating. We stayed in a junior suite which was nice but smaller than junior suites I have stayed in other properties. The bathroom was also on the smaller side. However you don’t really spend time in the room as the resort has many activities (in the resort ) and in the bay. Angelo and his team are doing a fantastic job. Well done team Majlis.
